November 19, 2026 — confirmed on November 6, 2025 via Take-Two’s earnings release. The date history: announced as “coming 2025” in December 2023, later dated May 26, 2026, then moved to the final November 19, 2026 date.

Which platforms is GTA VI on — and is there a PC version?

GTA VI launches on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

A PC version has not been announced. Every official statement — from the December 2023 announcement through the June 2026 pre-order release — lists only the two consoles. (Historically, Rockstar has shipped PC versions of GTA titles well after console launch, but that is context, not an announcement.)

Is GTA VI coming to PS4 or Xbox One?

No — GTA VI has only been announced for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Every official Take-Two/Rockstar statement, from the December 2023 announcement through the June 2026 pre-order release, lists only those two current-gen consoles. A PlayStation 4, Xbox One, or Nintendo Switch / Switch 2 version has not been announced.

Press coverage frames GTA VI as the first mainline GTA to skip last-gen hardware at launch — that is context, not a Rockstar statement, and “not announced” is not the same as “ruled out.” See our platforms rundown.
